Several months ago I wanted to write a post about French footwear brand that attracted my attention. I liked very much the design of the shoes but they were all genuine leather and I am more or less eco friendly person so before writing anything good about them I decided to contact the producers and ask for some information on what kind of leather they use, where does it come from and how harmful is the production of their shoes to the environment. Nobody answered. That’s why I am not going to even mention the brand, but I’d like to introduce another one that I found recently. Let me clear that up, it has nothing to do with the first one!
The name is Faguo (法国 in Chinese means ‘France’). Their strategy is very clear. They sell shoes and plant trees. One for each pair. I guess it’s fair. Besides the shoes are quite comfortable and look good and these two are usually tough to combine. Seems to me like these guys know what they’re doing because so far they’ve planted more than 220 000 trees. The best is they sell internationally. I wish them all the best – keep growing, because it is so important to be green when it’s about something so temporary as fashion items production.
They keep you cool in the heat, they are comfortable, colorful and attract attention. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for REFRIGERATOR PANTS!
Apparently this is the newest hit in South Korea as sales are growing rapidly and there’s reason for that – it’s been the hottest summer for quite a while in the North-East part of Asia.
While I lived in China I had a Korean room mate for a while and I was impressed of the amount of jeans she kept in her closet. For me most of them looked the same, while she was trying to convince me they were all different models. However, I’ve never doubted the vanity of Korean girls (and boys) and I actually think it’s a good thing. After all, when you walk in the streets of Seoul, you see all these beautiful people…
As for me, I would wear these pants at home, I can’t imagine myself wearing them outside. But that’s with fashion trends – we can’t accept them until they scream in our face from each billboard. Then we somehow get used to the idea (consciously or unconsciously) which finally leads to us going to the mall and buying something we considered strange or even ugly just several weeks ago (sometimes it takes longer, for some people).

Being a mom takes time and I must admit I have no time to write in this blog any more. I used to say to myself before “nothing will change, my life will stay the same… bla-bla”. In fact I have so many new experiences that if I start to write about them the idea of this blog will be completely lost. So I declare that I am taking a break for a while. I don’t want to say I’ll stop posting but for sure I will post less than before. My son Yann is now over one month and I see a big change in his behavior as well as in the way he looks. He gets more and more curious and needs more attention, so I am determined to give it all to him. After all, he’s the best thing that’s happened to me so far. Cheers everyone! I’ll be back soon…
